AUCTION - AOR- Pg.14R - Peace Rock One Great Society - 1966 Handbill - Fillmore Auditorium - Good
Wow. Talk about. Here is an original concert handbill from the Fillmore Auditorium. This is so early, we are not sure who the promoter is. Just one week after BG 1 and one week before Family Dog 1. Neither promoter had a firm hold on the hall and around this time other people were attempting to put on concerts at the Fillmore. This is possibly one of those, although the lineup is more Family Dog, friendly bands. Pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 14, right side. Dated February 12, 1966. The bands were the Great Society featuring Grace Slick, Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Wildflower, Our Lost Souls, and Big Brother and the Holding Company. Incredibly rare. This handbill measures 8 1/2" X 11". The condition is Good. A missing piece in the upper right corner along with a tear in the same spot. Has handling and a fold across the middle. Find another.
