AUCTION - AOR 2.16 - Grateful Dead - 1966 Poster - Avalon Ballroom - Very Good

Original concert poster from May 19, 1966. Here is the Grateful Dead performing with Poet Michael McClure and others. Also on the bill was a provocative one-act play by radical black playwright Ed Bullins. This event was presented by the Straight Theater and held at the Avalon Ballroom. Art by Jacob. Pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 106 Plate 2.16. Measures approx. 13 7/8" X 20". The condition is very good with multiple pinholes throughout, and a tack hole tear in the upper left corner. Surface scratches in the word "Wildflower". Rare, never reprinted Grateful Dead poster from 1966.
