BG-21 - ORIGINAL POSTER ART - Wes Wilson - 1966 Ink on Poster Board - w/ Artist Notes - Fillmore Auditorium - Excellent
This is the original art for one of our favorite early Wes Wilson posters in the BG series. This was done to promote a show at the Fillmore Auditorium in August 1966 by the awesome band from Los Angeles, Love featuring the great Arthur Lee. The supporting act was Everpresent Fullness. Those who were there have said that the summer of 1966 was the true summer of love in San Francisco. The scene was new, everything was possible and the crowds had not yet discovered the Fillmore, the Avalon, or the Haight Ashbury scene.
For us, this piece of original art captures that moment as the art has a gentle warm feel and flow unlike any of Wes Wilson's 39 other posters. This striking art will turn heads when framed and presented in any room. And you can't beat or ignore the message - love and ever present fullness! This art measures 14" x 19 3/4" and is in excellent condition.
