AUCTION - Neon Rose 13 - Grateful Dead - Victor Moscoso - 1967 Variant Poster - Excellent

AUCTION - Neon Rose 13 - Grateful Dead - Victor Moscoso - 1967 Variant Poster - Excellent

This interesting piece of poster history is a variant of the Neon Rose 13 poster by artist Victor Moscoso. This was originally for a theatrical performance in Stockton, CA. IN 1967. Pretty obscure to say the least. Fast forward to the late 1970s and a stack of these unsold posters were languishing in a San Francisco merchants storeroom when he decided to try something to get them selling. An additional silkscreen was added in the bottom half, which reads "99 out of 100 heads agree there is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert". Viola, an instantly desirable poster for sale, many years after the original printing. Measures approx. 14" x 20". Condition - Excellent - Has handling on all sides. Never put up.
