AUCTION - LSD/Acid - Laguna Beach - Christmas Happening Concert - 1970 Postcard - Mint

Here is a unique LSD/Acid postcard from December 23-25, 1970, for the Laguna Beach Christmas Happening. The event was originally scheduled for the beach but was moved to a remote valley nearby to avoid the issues that plagued Altamont a year earlier. The event was marketed as Orange County's answer to Woodstock. The concert was successful with attendance topping 30,000, despite the lack of any big-name acts.

This postcard was 1 of the 25,000 postcards dropped from a plane during the concert. The acid cards were distributed by "The Brotherhood of Eternal Love." The concert, the food, the love, and the acid were all free. This LSD postcard was the only documented psychedelic airdrop in history. The postcard measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is printed on thick cardstock. It's in mint condition.
