AUCTION - BG-209 - Santana/Jefferson Airplane - Double-New Year's Eve - 1969 Poster - Fillmore West/Winterland - Near Mint Minus

First-and-only printing of the last San Francisco concert poster of the 1960's, promoting two Bill Graham shows at his two venues on Wednesday night, December 31, 1969. Playing at the Fillmore West were Santana, It's a Beautiful Day, the Elvin Bishop Group, and the female-led rock band from Berkeley, Joy of Cooking. Simultaneously over at the larger Winterland auditorium, the Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service and Shady Grove, The Sons (of Champlin), and the Airplane's Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady were opening the show with their brand-new band, Hot Tuna.

The artwork is by Bonnie MacLean and she has signed the poster in black ink. Measures 27 ¾" x 20 ¾". In near mint minus condition with light handling.
