AUCTION - The Doors - Ray Manzarek Signed 1970 Baltimore Concert Handbill - Condition - Near Mint Minus

AUCTION - The Doors - Ray Manzarek Signed 1970 Baltimore Concert Handbill - Condition - Near Mint Minus

Here is a handbill from 1970 for the Doors. Here they are in Baltimore, Maryland on May 10th, playing at the Civic Center. The Doors were supported on the bill by Insect trust and The Rig. Printed on light peach-colored paper, the poster features a band portrait, along with the usual concert venue and ticket information. What makes this particular piece so appealing is the signature by keyboardist Ray Manzarek, along with an arrow pointing to his likeness. In the photograph. Pretty cool. The signature was personally obtained by the consignor at a poetry event in which Manzarek was a participant. COA is available upon request. Cool story about the show as well. Jim Morrison fell off the stage but kept on singing. He was put back on stage just in time for the last verse! Now that's showmanship. This original, Ray Manzarek signed handbill measures 8 1/2" X 11" and is in Near Mint Minus condition, with only a tiny corner tip missing at the bottom left. Super clean.
