AUCTION - FD-IV Pre Avalon Family Dog - California Hall - 1996 Handbill - Excellent

We are pleased to offer this rare and early Family Dog handbill. Dated January 8, 1966, this predates both the Fillmore and the Avalon Ballroom, which didn't open until February, a month later. This concert was held at California Hall. The bands were the Charlatans and Jefferson Airplane. Note; under the right wing of the plane it says "the Family Dog". They didn't have the now famous Family Dog logo yet. No poster was made, only handbills. This handbill measures approximately 8 1/2" x 11". The condition is Excellent with pinholes and a small piece of tape at the bottom. Also, a small brown stain under the "T" in Turk near the bottom left. A must-have for any Family Dog or California Hall collection.
