AUCTION - Canned Heat - Pacific Coast Highway - 1968 Poster - San Diego - Excellent

Here's one we have never seen before. This is a poster from 1968, with Canned Heat and Glory performing. The gigs took place July 6–7, 1968. The shows were held in San Diego County, but the only venue information is an address on the Pacific Coast Highway (HWY1, PCH). Intriguing, the artist was Donald Kay He was credited with introducing psychedelic concert poster art to San Diego in the 1960s.

Graphically strong and visually quite intense, the piece measures 14 1/4" x 22 1/16". This super rare San Diego concert poster is in Excellent condition, with handling, light waviness, and a tiny surface abrasion at the bottom right. Otherwise, just beautiful. Again, this is the only one we have ever seen.
