The Dead were frequent performers at Bill Graham's New Year's shows, Innovative banjoist Bela Fleck and Nigerian virtuoso drummer and chanter Olatunji were also on the bill. This concert continued to show Bill Graham's willingness to provide the audience with a diverse musical experience.
