This listing features an original Hells Angels poster for a party held at Sokol Hall in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. The event featured music by Janis Joplin and Big Brother, with special guests including The Merry Pranksters, part of Ken Kesey's gang. The date of the event was November 12, 1966. The design is attributed to Gut and can be found on page 207, plate 2.247, in the book "The Art of Rock."
The poster measures 14 1/8" x 20" and is in very good condition, displaying multiple tack holes in the corners, as well as at the top and bottom center. There are also several small tears in various locations. This is a rare and highly sought-after poster.
