Rick Griffin - Grateful Dead 1969 - Aoxomoxoa - Rainbow Foil - Silkscreen Poster

This is Rick Griffin’s masterwork, Aoxomoxoa, produced for the Grateful Dead’s show at the Avalon Ballroom in January 1969. This Rainbow Foil silkscreen was produced by the Rick Griffin Estate. They produced this edition in a miniscule print run of just 25 copies. The silkscreen measures 30” x 24”. It has the Rick Griffin chop mark on the lower left corner. This is a visually stunning print, far superior in quality to the original one produced for the concert in January 1969. The Grateful Dead would later use this image on the cover of their 3rd LP, entitled Aoxomoxoa. Legend has it that the top portion of the band name, Grateful Dead, reads “We Ate the Acid”. Look close enough and you will see it! The condition is mint.
