AUCTION - FD-42 - Uncut Sheet of Four Cards - 1969 - Avalon Ballroom - Near Mint Minus

An exceptionally rare and visually stunning piece up for auction here. This is FD-42 in the Family Dog series but in quadraphonic! Here we have an uncut sheet, blank on reverse, of four cards from January, 6–7, 1967. Artwork is a very early example of Victor Moscoso's work. Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Other Half, and Miller blues band (Steve, in case you were wondering) all played at the Avalon Ballroom. The dancer's image repeated four times makes for an exciting visual feast with a bit of a Pop Art fair. Along with the alternating yellow and green swirling background, the effect is more than the sum of its parts, really. This uncut sheet measures 9" x 13" and is in phenomenal Near Mint Minus condition, with light toning around the edges, a light corner band at the upper left, and handling. Uncut sheets are super rare, and oh so desirable, not the least reason for which being the presentability of the piece.
