AUCTION - FD-19 - Big Brother Janis Joplin 1966 1st Print Poster - Hand Colored - Excellent

Now here is a cool one-of-a-kind poster. This is FD - 19 from August 5-6, 1966, and is the 1st printing. What is so special is that someone, in the Sixties, hand-colored this poster, and did a pretty good job. We don't think we will ever know who did it, but we like it. Original design by Mouse and Kelley. The bands were Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin, Bo Diddley, Sons of Adam with Randy Holden on guitar, and garage-rock band the Oxford Circle. I repeat, one-of-a-kind.

The poster measures 8 11/16" X 20". The condition is Excellent. It has tape at the center of each edge. The colors bleed through to the back, naturally, and light handling. Fantastic.
