AUCTION - Popcorn Happening - Bob Fried - 1967 Poster - Fillmore/Matrix - Excellent

Here's a truly unusual poster from the super talented Bob Fried. Billed as a "Popcorn Happening", two benefits were held on consecutive Saturdays in April 1967. One event was at the Fillmore Auditorium, the other at the Matrix. This was a benefit for Presidio Hill School, and the show featured free popcorn, movies, and "Wonderful Clown Acts". Held in the afternoon, these shows were over before the Saturday night acts rolled in. This is a very early example of Bob Fried's work.

Done in black and white, this beautiful poster measures 13 7/8" x 20 1/16". The piece is in Excellent condition, with several pinholes at the top center and some light handling. This Seldom seen poster is in amazing shape and is a must-have for Fillmore or Matrix completists
