This political piece is quite a dramatic slice of American countercultural history! Here we have an FBI two-sided Wanted poster for three members of the Symbionese Liberation Army. The most famous of these, of course, was none other than newspaper heiress Patricia (Patty) Hearst. She is wanted for both a violation of the Federal Firearms Act and Bank Robbery. Her two fellow SLA members, William and Emily Harris, were charged with just violating the Firearms Act. Replete with identifying info that one would expect on an FBI Wanted poster, this piece also has, on the reverse, a list of the FBI Field Offices, along with addresses and telephone info. The whole poster folds up into an FBI Postage Paid mailer which was then sent out to post offices nationwide. Addressed to the postmaster, this 11 1/2" X 16" (unfolded) Wanted poster was apparently never put up. That is why it is in Excellent condition, with machine folds, light staining around the edges, and handling. Historically very significant piece.
