AUCTION - Muir Beach - Tiny Hearing Aid Co. - Hand Colored - 1967 Handbill - Near Mint Minus

This amazing and super rare hand-colored handbill is for a show on Muir Beach in Marin County, CA. Tiny Hearing Aid C0. headlined, supported by God Mother Country. A dollar got you into the gig on Saturday, October 15, 1966. Wonderful trippy artwork and lettering is was drawn and colored by Alex Call of Clover. He also wrote the song, 867-5309 Jenny! Lots of psychedelic squiggles to go with the sort of dire wolf engaged in combat with a couple of medieval elf types. The hand coloring really makes the piece, however. Wonderful work. This exceedingly scarce handbill measures 8 1/2" x 11", approximately. The condition is Excellent, with one pinhole in each top corner, along with a small tear at the upper left edge and at the upper center edge, as well as light handling. The colors remain super strong, vibrant, and immediate. Gorgeous, extra rare, handbill from across the Golden Gate Bridge on Muir Beach! This piece comes from a collection that also has another hand-colored handbill from Muir Beach in this auction. Both handbills appear to be colored by the same person. Please take a look.
