AUCTION - Hells Angels - "Chocolate Georges Funeral" - 1967 Poster - Very Good

George Hendricks was a member of the Hell's Angels in the mid-sixties but was known as Chocolate George to his friends. The nickname was due to his love of drinking chocolate milk! Not many know this, but he was the Angel in charge of producing the local Hell's Angels parties that Big Brother with Janis and Blue Cheer would perform.Sadly, on August 24, 1967, Chocolate George got into a wreck on his motorcycle on Haight St. and Died. A few days later his funeral was held and more than 100 Hell's Angels and others drove in a procession along Dolores St. going to the Funeral Home. The procession was captured in this amazing photograph by Campbell and published as a poster by artist Bob Fried's company "The Food" This poster was printed in 1967 not long after his death. This is a must-have poster if you collect Hell's Angels items. It measures 24" X 36". In very good condition with pinholes, edge tears, edge wear, corner bends and a horizontal fold. Comes rolled. All that said it is still a nice, presentable example.
