AUCTION - FD-4 - Uncut Fillmore - 1966 Handbills (2) - Near Mint

Here we have up for auction an extremely rare uncut pair of handbills for Family Dog number Four (FD–4). A super early piece from April 1966. The Family Dog was still sharing the Fillmore Auditorium with Bill Graham Presents. The bands were Love, the Sons of Adam, and the Charlatans. The artwork is a collaboration between promoter Chet Helms and Wes Wilson. Great image of Old age and Youth dancing. This was the last Family Dog show held at the Fillmore, after which they moved to the Avalon Ballroom. Early stuff, for sure. This pair of uncut handbills measures 8 7/16“ X 11“, approximately. In Near Mint condition, with a very light corner band at the upper left and some handling along the bottom right edge. Stunning early example and a must-have for a Family Dog and handbill collection.
