AUCTION - FD-14 - Zig Zag Man - Big Brother Janis Joplin - Mouse & Kelley - 1966 Handbill - Avalon Ballroom - Excellent

Here is one of the most iconic images from the 1960s. This is FD–14, "The Zig Zag Man", featuring Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin. Also on the bill was Quicksilver Messenger Service. The show dates were June 24–25, 1966. Janis was in the band for only two weeks at this point. Held at the Avalon Ballroom. The design is by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. This Family Dog handbill measures approximately 5 3/8" x 7 5/8". The condition is Excellent, with a tape pull on all four edges, a small strip of tape along the bottom, a pinhole at the top center, and a tiny edge tear on the lower left. A nice example that presents well.
