AUCTION - Electric Circus - Tomi Ungerer - 1969 Poster - New York City - Near Mint Minus

Another cool advertising poster for the Electric Circus, a hip nightclub located on the legendary St. Mark’s Place in New York City’s East Village. The venue opened its doors in 1967 and closed in 1971. The club embodied the wild and creative side of the NYC club scene. The poster was designed by international artist, Tomi Ungerer. It is part of a 6-poster series that he created to promote the club. We believe this is the most popular of the bunch. The poster measures about 28” x 22”. The condition is in near mint minus with just the slightest of edge handling and a roll from storage in its original plastic sleeve. Cool piece of NYC ephemera!
