AUCTION - David Bowie - Flo & Eddie - Randy Tuten - 1972 Poster - Winterland - CGC Graded 9.6
AUCTION - David Bowie - Flo & Eddie - Randy Tuten - 1972 Poster - Winterland - CGC Graded 9.6
Here is David Bowie during his glam-rock phase performing at Winterland in San Francisco, in 1972. This was a Bill Graham production and had he not closed the Fillmore the prior year, this poster would have been part of the numbered series! The poster was designed by Fillmore artist, Randy Tuten. Amazingly, Flo & Eddie, or Phlorescent Leech & Eddie, as they were originally known were also on the bill. They would shortly join Frank Zappa’s Mothers of Invention. Keep in mind, that this concert took place just months after Bowie released his Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars LP. This original 1st & only printing poster measures about 22 1/4” x 14”, and is CGC Graded 9.6. Probably the best looking Bowie poster out there!
