AUCTION - Canned Heat - 1970 Poster - Springer's Ballroom Portland, OR - Excellent

This Portland, Oregon poster is for a show featuring Canned Heat, with Everything is Everything and Earl Benson opening up the show. The show itself took place on February 27, 1970. The trippy artwork is by Laura Felt. Not sure of the exact relationship, but, coincidentally, the show was presented by Jim Felt. The whole shebang took place at the venerable Springers Ballroom, in Portland, OR. This gig took place a scant six months after Woodstock, so Canned Heat were riding high at the time. The year might be 1970, but the 1960s lingered, for sure. Bill Graham was still putting on shows at the Fillmore West and the Family Dog was still a going concern. The psychedelic scene and the artwork that went with it were all still very contemporary. This piece measures 15 5/8" x 22 3/8". This very scarce, low print run poster is in Excellent condition, with tack holes, three of which have torn through to the edge, minor edge wear, and still a bit dusty from long-term storage. We've never seen one before.
