AUCTION - Psychedelic Op Art - 1967 Handbill - Near Mint Minus

Here we have a neat little Op Art handbill by artist A.Sirkia, who did quite a few headshop posters. Notably, he did one of the Beatles and one of Jim Morrison. He also did a few mandala posters as well and this piece is a bit like an Op Art mandala. We believe this handbill dates from 1967. This is an early example of a black light poster with direct ties to the Op Art movement. Just with a more directly psychedelic bent from Sirkia. The piece measures 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". Printed on textured, pebbled paper stock, the handbill really jumps out at you, with its' bright orange on a black background. The handbill is in Near Mint Minus condition, with only very light handling. These smaller headshop pieces tend to have a low survival rate. This one came through 55 years with flying colors!
