AUCTION - AOR 2.313 - Grateful Dead Moby Grape - 1966 Handbill - Santa Venetia Armory - Very Good

This is a super rare original handbill for the Grateful Dead. Here they are in San Rafael, California at the Santa Venetia Armory. The show date was December 29th, 1966. Also on the bill are Moby Grape and Morning Glory. Although the artwork is different, this is the same concert as pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 226, plate 2.313. In more than 30 years we have seen exactly two handbills and two posters. Here is the second handbill. The design is by Tiger Bill. This handbill measures approximately 9 3/8" x 12 3/4". The condition is Very Good, with several edge tears, a single pinhole near the top center, a light horizontal fold near the center, heavy handling and bending in top corners. Still presents well. Find another.
