Offered here is an original concert poster for a benefit held at the Avalon Ballroom. The bands included the Grateful Dead, Big Brother, and the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin), and Moby Grape. Poet Allen Ginsberg was also part of the evening's festivities. The date was January 29, 1967. This poster is pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 107, plate 2.18. The piece measures approximately 13" x 19 3/4". The condition is excellent, with handling and several tape pulls on the reverse. Presents very well.
