AUCTION - AOR 2.164 - Janis Joplin & Big Brother - 1968 Poster - Carousel Ballroom - Near Mint Minus
This is a fantastic and original concert poster from the Carousel Ballroom featuring the bands Big Brother & The Holding Company, H.P. Lovecraft, and the Clara Ward Singers. The concert dates are May 24-26, 1968. The psychedelic artwork, created by Crazy Arab, has a Salvador Dali feel to it. This poster is featured in the "Art of Rock" book on page 180, plate 2.164. Please note that Big Brother canceled their appearance, and most of the posters have their name crossed out, as this one does. The poster measures approximately 14" x 19 1/4". Its condition is near mint minus, showing some edge wear and handling, but it has never been displayed.
