Alton Kelley spent a portion of 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts. While his time there was short-lived, he did create a few posters. This is an original poster for Project Place, an outreach facility in Boston. Alton Kelley is in fine form here. Strong iconography coupled with boldly intense coloring. The symbology is way out front with this piece. The winged horse. The all-seeing eye. Kelley just pours it on. This poster comes from the personal collection of Alton Kelley and he has signed it twice in pencil. Once on the front and once on the reverse to his wife, Marguerite. The poster measures 16 13/16” X 19 7/8”. In near mint condition, with only one soft corner. Very clean, with strong colors and an eye-popping presence. Featured on page 58 of the Mouse and Kelley book.
