AUCTION - AOR 2.160 - Grateful Dead - Alton Kelley Signed - 1968 Handbill - Carousel Ballroom - Near Mint Minus
Here is a fantastic and original handbill from the Carousel Ballroom, which predates Fillmore West. It features The Grateful Dead along with Charlie Musselwhite and Petris, dating back to the summer of 1968. The design was created by Alton Kelley, who has personally hand-signed the handbill in gold ink in the bottom right corner. This piece is also featured in *The Art of Rock* book on page 179, plate 2.160. The condition is Near Mint Minus, with only a couple of soft corner tips showing minor wear.
