AUCTION - Grateful Dead  Allman Brothers Band - Working Crew Pass - Watkins Glen Summer Jam '73 - Very Good

Offered for auction here is an extremely rare piece of Rock history. This is a worker's pass for Summer Jam, arguably the coolest concert ever produced in America. Watkins Glen, New York in 1973 played host at their race track to the Grateful Dead, the Band, and the Allman Brothers. More folks were at this gig than attended Woodstock, and they got their money's worth. Memorabilia from Watkins Glen has been in high demand pretty much since the day after the show. This particular piece is a worker's pass for the event, signed by the bearer. She was working for burgundy catering, out of Rochester, New York, and she had pass number 1836. The pass says "Summer Jam" and has the race track logo on it as well. Super rare. This paper working crew pass also has two holes punched in it at the top for a lanyard or a string. The pass measures 3 1/2" X 8", approximately, and is in Very Good to Excellent condition, with a horizontal fold across the middle, edge wear, handling, and bending. Most of this wear occurred during the working day at the festival.   The punched holes usually tear with the strain of the day, but these are perfect. This is likely because the pass was folded and pocketed for safekeeping until it needed to be presented for access. This is the only one that we have ever seen.
