AUCTION - BG45 - Grateful Dead Doors 1967 Original Poster - Fillmore Auditorium - Condition - Mint

AUCTION - BG45 - Grateful Dead Doors 1967 Original Poster - Fillmore Auditorium - Condition - Mint

This original first print poster is known as BG 45 in the Fillmore series. The bands were the Grateful Dead, Junior Wells Blues Band and a young band opening the show called the Doors. Their first album was about 10 days old and no one knew who they were yet. The dates were January 13-15, 1967 and on Saturday the 14th, the Grateful Dead performed at the Human Be-In in Golden Gate Park in the afternoon while the Doors watched. They both had to play at the Fillmore that night (this poster)! Psychedelic artwork by Wes Wilson. This poster is also known as BG-45-OP-1 and is the first state original. In near mint/mint condition with only a light printing glitch in the green along the lower right edge. This poster has never been put up. No pinholes and no tape. A keeper!
