This is an original concert poster from February 23, 1970, at Winterland in San Francisco, CA. This is a benefit concert for the Grateful Dead after they were arrested in New Orleans just like the lyrics of the song "Busted down in New Orleans, set up like a bowling pin…". Their friends in San Francisco had this concert to raise funds for legal defense. The bands were Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Santana, It's a Beautiful Day, and Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks. Art is by Randy Tuten, who perfectly designed this poster to look like a great Grateful Dead poster. Known as BG 222 in the Fillmore Poster Series. The poster measures 14" x 22". The condition is Excellent. The piece has pinholes in the corners, a light bend in the lower right corner and a couple of light surface scratches in the red field to the right of the ball and chain.
