This was the official opening of the Carousel, as run by the Dead, Big Brother, Jefferson Airplane and Quicksilver, which proved to be a short-term lark and business flop. The Dead dedicated their second set to Merry Prankster Neal Cassady, who had passed away 10 days earlier.The poster is pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 182, plate 2.174. The design is by \u003cstrong\u003eStanley Mouse\u003c\/strong\u003e, and he has \u003cstrong\u003esigned\u003c\/strong\u003e this poster in gold ink!  In \u003cstrong\u003eVery Good \u003c\/strong\u003econdition, with multiple handling bends, wrinkles, creases, small pieces missing from the bottom corners and some writing on the back.
