AOR-PG 330 - Canned Heat Chambers Bros. Bogota Colombia 1973 Poster - Gary Grimshaw - Near Mint Minus

Now here's a gorgeous poster by the late, magnificent Detroit artist, Gary Grimshaw. This original poster, however, is from an awful long way from Michigan! This is for a concert held in Bogotá, Colombia at El Coliseo Gubierto El Campín de Bogatá. Superbly executed in muted dark reds and purples, Grimshaw's impeccable sense of design and sheer artistry really shine. Even the photos are tinted to match the poster's color palette. The show date was December 7, 1973 and the bands were Canned Heat plus the Chambers Brothers. Featured in the Art of Rock book on page 330 on the right side of the page. That photo, however, is black and white and does not do the poster justice. The poster was printed by Rainbow Press in a very small addition of just two hundred. Rainbow press was a Michigan adjunct to the Rainbow People's Party, founded by Detroit icon and White Panthers founder, John Sinclair. Elegant, pretty and measuring 13 1/2" x 20 3/4", approximately. In near mint minus condition. The poster comes rolled and has edge wear. Colors remain true and strong. Lovely, harmonious Grimshaw peace. From South America, No less.
