AUCTION - Jack & The Rippers - Golden Star - 1967 Board Poster - Fairfax Park Marin - Excellent

This cool cardboard poster is from just across the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County. Fairfax, CA., to be exact. Golden Star Promotions put on quite a few shows at the Fairfax Park Pavilion, "Marin County's No.1 Dance Hall". Jack and the Rippers, plus Mourning Glory played on January 21, 1967, Golden Star used blank cardboard for their posters with pre-printed venue and price information. They all say "Dress Casual" at the bottom left corner. The artwork is by the Golden Star artist team HAFF BADD. They numbered their work and this one is No. 2. Great lettering throughout, with cool filigree-type squiggles. This cardboard Golden Star poster measures 14" x 22". The piece is in Excellent condition, with only minor staining under the word "Dance", tack holes at the top center, and one at the bottom center, light handling, and some toning. These posters had way smaller print runs than the San Francisco venues ran. Most of them were put up. Few survived.
