This creative, psychedelic concert poster is pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 265, plate 3.36. But\u003cstrong\u003e this example is unique\u003c\/strong\u003e. There were only two hundred printed, so it is very rare compared to Fillmore\/Avalon posters at the same time, printing thousands of each. This one was taken backstage by the artist personally and got the band to sign the poster after the show. You have \u003cstrong\u003eJack Casady\u003c\/strong\u003e under the airplane illustration (in green), \u003cstrong\u003eGrace Slick\u003c\/strong\u003e in the left front wheel and \u003cstrong\u003ePaul Kantner\u003c\/strong\u003e doodling on the front of the airplane, \u003cstrong\u003eSpencer Dryden\u003c\/strong\u003e in the sky area at upper left, and \u003cstrong\u003eMarty Balin\u003c\/strong\u003e next to the figure with wings. It is very exciting to see a poster this early and \u003cstrong\u003esigned\u003c\/strong\u003e by the band at the time of the concert. Finally, the artist, \u003cstrong\u003eDonald Richard Pimentel\u003c\/strong\u003e, has \u003cstrong\u003esigned\u003c\/strong\u003e his own poster in pencil at the bottom right corner. This is the only example we have seen autographed by the artist and might be the only one. Incredible Jefferson Airplane artifact from 1967. The poster measures 14 1\/2” X 18 5\/16”. Unfortunately, this festival was canceled, due to discord among the promoters. Oh, but what a cool shindig it would have been! Groovy psychedelic unaccredited artwork. Interestingly enough, this festival was advertised on BG 180 in the Fillmore Series, as Bill Graham was one of the promoters. This handbill measures 8 1\/4\" x 12”. In \u003cstrong\u003eexcellent\u003c\/strong\u003e condition. Never put up. Just a few aging spots along the top and is curled from having been rolled. The poster for this festival is scarce, but this handbill is even more scarce.
