The cards were printed separately, usually on thinner stock and in monochrome. They disappeared quickly. Meanwhile, people started collecting in earnest, creating a demand for earlier artwork in the Fillmore Series. By early 1967, the decision was made to reprint the earlier stuff. This time, due to demand, postcards in full color were included on the plates. This plate is from that time and has three postcards to go with the poster. It is quite possible that the first printing plate does not exist anymore. This plate is two-sided, featuring the same image on both sides. The plate measures 24” X 25 1\/2”. This plate is in \u003cstrong\u003eexcellent\u003c\/strong\u003e condition, with only a little handling, to be expected with such an old sheet of metal. Printed by West Coast Lithograph Co. SF. One side has more ink saturation than the other.
