AUCTION - Political - Anti-War Protest Berkeley Oakland Poster - Condition - Excellent

Offered for auction is a very cool political poster from the late 60's Ant-War and Social Justice movements. Part of a wider week's worth of protests to stop the draft and the war in the San Francisco Bay Area. The poster gets right to the point, promoting two separate protests on April 23rd. "Cops Out of Vietnam. Cops Out of the Ghetto" is the slogan. First, the early protest at the Oakland Induction Center, followed by the later protest at the Alameda County Courthouse. This is the county directly across the Bay Bridge from San  Francisco. It includes both Oakland and Berkeley. Two real hotbeds. Super intense uncredited artwork featuring a soldier with a rifle casting a shadow which becomes a policeman holding a club. Incredible stark, black and white imagery, which perfectly ties together the dual protests. Poignant stuff. Great art. Disturbingly pertinent today. This amazing political poster measures 17 1/2" X 22 3/4", approximately, and is in Excellent condition, with restoration to repair pinholes and tears. Presents stunningly well. A very strong message and poster.
