AUCTION - AOR-2.150 - Blue Cheer 1967 Poster - California Hall - Near Mint

Here is a classic example of the Hippies taking direct aim at the Establishment. This is a "Tribute to J. Edgar Hoover", who, of course, was the head of the FBI at the time. He is all decked out in a flowery design on his shirt and tie, and he is also wearing a peace sign button on his coat lapel. Fantastic. Dated February 10, 1967, and held at California Hall. The bands include Blue Cheer, the Mojo Men, Congress of Wonders, and the Jook Savages that poster artist Rick Griffin was a part of. Pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 176, plate 2.150. This poster measures 14 1/4" X 19 15/16". In Near Mint condition, with only a tiny bit of handling.
